Step 1 Select your Campaign Type
Or select “Evergreen” for any marketing funnel where each prospects’ deadline is determined by when they enter the funnel.
Step 2 Select Funnel Steps + Trigger Moment when Lead enters the Funnel
- When someone opt-in to your email list. Deadline Funnel integrates with all major ESPs.
- When triggering a web hook with your email provider.
- When someone visits a web page (f.e. squeeze, thank you, landing, or sales page).
- Email trigger. When someone clicks on a link inside your email.
Step 3 Email Setup + Add additional info to your campaign
Here you give you campaign a name, add the product to promote, add the squeeze/sales page URL, select your Page Builder, select your email provider, set your deadline date/time, and add the redirect URL after the deadline.

How does Deadline Funnel track Leads?
Deadline Funnel tracks your visitors by looking for:
- Cookies on the device.
- An IP address match in the database.
- An email match in the database.

Of course, you can easily do this inside your emails (or on your web pages) for fixed time deadlines, but I have never seen a solution doing this for evergreen campaigns.
Are there any shortcomings?
Well not really. I found some minor “issues”…
You currently can’t set the Deadline based on the Prospect’s Time Zone (everything is based upon the Time Zone settings you set for each campaign).
Actually this “shortcoming” is a good feature, otherwise the timing could become an issue if your email software is set for a specific time zone and the deadline was set to each lead’s individual time zone.
Also, you can select either a top or bottom floating bar. You can’t use both on one page. (but why would you do that?)
You have to add the tracking code to each individual web page where you want your timer to show up. As far as I can see, you can’t add the code to show up on every page of your blog (or on all post inside in category or using a tag). Again, no big deal as I can hardly think about a usage where you’ll show your timer on all your pages.
Except if you want to trigger any new website visitor with for example a 15 minute coupon code. You can’t do that with Deadline Funnel (you can only set this up for one specific landing page).
Also, you can’t use the same timer in different campaigns (and have to set up a new campaign for each funnel). For me, no big deal. But I can imagine if you have “mixed” funnels (using landing pages and timers in more than one funnel), that it’s somewhat annoying to create a new timer (i.e. funnel). Especially, because you can’t save your timer templates.
But overall, once you get used to it, you can set up your campaign really fast.
Of course, due to all the smart things you now can do, it will take you some extra time to get used to Deadline Funnel, set up everything properly, and to test your campaign settings. But that’s a small price in comparison to all the new smart ways you can now use real set-and-forget scarcity in your (evergreen) campaigns.
And yes, it comes with monthly fees probably higher than you are paying now for your timers, but it’s absolutely worth your investment…
